Questions Chapter 14

  1. Ishmael changed by being the person looking for a way to live in peace to being a killer himself.
  2. He has become addicted marijuana, cocaine mixed with gunpowder, and white capsules because of his lieutenant.
  3. When he tried the drugs all together, he describes that he perspires excessively, his sighed if blurred, his hearing is lost for several minutes, and says he felt dumbness to everything but had so much energy he couldn’t sleep for weeks.
  4. The difference between him and the rebels now are less than before because he is now killing the rebels.
  5. The activities they do are that they do drugs, watch war movies, and raid rebel camps for food, drugs, ammunition, and gasoline.
  6. What he thinks about killing now is that it is okay because he thinks that they are protecting civilians and defending their country.
  7. They were able to watch their movies having gasoline to generate electricity.
  8. He was similar to Rambo because they tried to implement his techniques from the movie.
  9. Alhaji and Ishmael have changed their perspective from looking for a way to live in peace to killing rebels.
  10. A time I completely changed to a different person is when I got into sports and because concentrated in playing sports.
  11. They gathered gallons of gasoline, big amounts of marijuana and cocaine, clothes, crapes, watches, rice, dried fish, salt, and gari from the village they have raided.
  12. When they captured rebels they would execute the rebels.
  13. They made civilians carry their goods back to their base.
  14. Ishmael felt special because the lieutenant pointed gave them respect for offering their services.
  15. I think Ishmael is brainwashed and that the lieutenant is controlling them because he is making him feel respected and making him feel he has power.
  16. The way they practice killing prisoners are by undressing them and tied them until their chests were tight.
  17. They celebrated each night with drugs and watch their movie.
  18. Ishmael had won the contest and was rewarded the rank of junior lieutenant.
  19. He rarely sleeps due to drugs and him having energy.
  20. Ishmael has changed and is now a killer.
